A centerpiece of the Museum’s education initiatives, Student Leadership Days inspire and empower a new generation of leaders to take action and become a positive force in their communities. In February, 2015 over 160 seventh and eighth grade students from 25 Illinois and Wisconsin schools gathered at the museum to explore leadership strategies, participate in skill-building activities, and hear from Holocaust survivor Janine Oberrotman on how leadership factored into her life experiences. The Exelon Foundation’s support provides opportunities to increase student participation and grow the number of schools that can participate in the program.
